We Give HOPE  

His Love – We share His love with every student that comes through our doors. We teach Christian values using biblical stories and principles as every day class materials. We pray for and with all our students, helping them see His grace and plan for their lives.  We teach discipline and respect for others, and for Jesus, a life skill that will help them succeed no matter what they do in the future.
Opportunity – In today’s society there exists a widening gap between people who succeed and those who fail.  The primary reason for this gap is education.  Entire generations of families are destined to poverty because they don’t have the education to succeed. Southside Home School represents an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty in a child’s life, a family, an entire neighborhood, even a city by providing quality, Christ based education to our students.
Passion – Our teachers are passionate about our kids.  All of them came to Southside with no promise of a regular salary, to work as volunteers if need be, to accomplish the vision God had placed on all of our hearts.  They are committed to give our students the best chance to succeed through individual attention and quality materials.

Excellence – At Southside Home School we strive for excellence in everything we do and teach.  We believe God wants and deserves our best.  Teaching our kids to excel at everything thing they put their hands to, to always give their whole heart to whatever task they are tackling sets them up to succeed throughout their lives.


We offer:

  Small Class sizes - The recent budget crisis in Public Schools has forced the student/teacher ratio to 24:1. Our class size will be 12:1. This ensures that each student has individual attention.
 
 Qualified, experienced teachers - All teachers in our school are either certified teachers in Texas or are experienced in home schooling their own children.
 
 A compassionate, SAFE environment - Our goal is to effectively educate children within a nurturing, Christ-centered environment.

Give generously!

Southside Home School holds  only one public fundraiser each semester.  We provide our students with this quality Christian education regardless of their ability to pay. Our entire operating budget is based on financial donations given by families, churches and other organizations.

Every Day?

 

Pray!

Prayer is the most important resource in the life of SCC HS, we need all we can get.  Our teachers and staff deal with students and families that are in crisis everyday.  They are truly on the frontlines of the battle for these children.  Daily intercession for the staff, the students and their families is a powerful tool for change.

Going Forward?

Volunteer!

We need people that can give their time to our kids.  Retired educators, artists, musicians, fitness instructors, business people, anyone who loves Jesus and wants to see children succeed in school and life we need you.  You say you don’t have a skill to pass on; we need people to just come and show the love of Jesus to students and parents that may be struggling in life.
